League of Legends is an optimized game but a lot of players experience lag while playing the game. It can be due to slow internet or spec of your computer. We tried to discuss the problems and solutions on how to make LOL run faster.

How To Make League Run Faster

Video Card Setting

Our First recommendation is to set your Video card’s setting to Performance. To do that, Open Nvidia Control Panel. You will get an option named “Manage 3D settings” under 3D settings. Scroll down until you get an option named “Multi-Display/mixed GPU acceleration”. Now set Single Display Performance mood from the drop-down.

Now click “Adjust Image Settings with preview” under 3D settings. Then Select Use my preference emphasizing: Performance and click Apply.

If your CPU doesn’t have an integrated GPU or the integrated GPU isn’t that high, then we recommend getting the Best GPU for your PC.

Power Options

Power Plans play a vital role in performance. For example, if you set it to Power saver mode, then it will save energy by reducing Computer Performace. Those who are playing the game on the laptop they may set the setting to power saver mode.

  • Open Control Panel.
  • Select Power Options.
  • Set your power options to high performance.

Optimize Game Settings

  • Open Game Settings.
  • Set Video to Low.
  • Set the Framerate cap to Benchmark under the in-game section.
  • DIsable shadow.
  • Uncheck HUD Animations.
  • Disable Vertical Sync

Update Windows

Sometimes, windows update can fix the performance issue. As it doesn’t work in every issue but we should give it a try. Note that updates come to fix the bugs of the older version.

  • Open Windows Settings.
  • Select Update & Security.
  • Select the Check for Updates option.

Update Video Driver

For the intel integrated graphics and AMD, you can download the updated driver from the website, and after downloading the .exe file simply install it. If you are an NVIDIA user then you don’t need to download it manually as Geforce Experience does it automatically though you need to install it manually.

Hopefully, League of Legends will now run better. Please let us know your thoughts by commenting.
